Outwood Academy: 3D walkthrough developed by Airedale
Outwood Academy, Ripon Grand Prix Winner
BRIEF: A kitchen, servery and front of house refurbishment designed to increase opt-in rates to above national average whilst working to an agreed budget.
SCOPE OF WORKS: Creative design led solution, incorporating front and back of house building works to deliver a dining facility that encourages pupils to remain on site during lunchtimes.
RESULT: An increase in meal take-up by over 30%, well above expectation and a signifi cant increase in pupil on-site retention during lunch-break.
CLIENT COMMENTS: “The resulting fi nish is a modern, vibrant and professional environment that our students are proud of, look after and want to dine in. I have already recommended Airedale to other Academies, showcasing the transformation of our catering and dining environment to other Principals and Governors”.
Caerphilly Schools Grand Prix Runner Up
BRIEF: To work with Caerphilly County Borough Council Estates and Catering team, mobilise the survey of existing catering facilities in over 12 schools to be completed within budget and within an 8 week period.
SCOPE OF WORK: To provide a detailed scope of works and associated cost plan for each site, to include all associated building, M&E and catering works including strip out, asbestos removal, equipment refurbishment and installation.
RESULT: All works completed within program, fully compliant with Safe System of Works and Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007.
CLIENT COMMENTS “Airedale’s exceptional knowledge in local authority catering operations, kitchen equipment and all associated building works were critical in helping us to quickly mobilise these projects.
