Signicast Investment Castings is an industry leading, world-class commercial investment caster utilizing carbon, low alloy, stainless, tool, nickel- and cobalt-base steels to manufacture commercial grade castings across a diverse market place. With quick lead times, on-time delivery, true just-in-time manufacturing, and unrivaled process control, Signicast has quickly become the top choice for OEM components. Founded in 1959 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Signicast rapidly outgrew its original facility and in 1993, relocated to a brand new corpo- rate headquarters in Hartford, Wisconsin. With over 600 employees, Signicast operates five independent casting foundries and a machin- ing and secondary operations facility servicing more than 300 customers in a diverse range of markets including recreational vehicles, fluid handling, off-highway vehicles, and power and hand tools. With its proprietary technologies and fast cycle times, Signicast is one of the most inno- vative and automated commercial investment casters in the world. In an industry where 12-week lead times are standard, Signicast has reduced that time to just 1 to 4 weeks resulting in true Just-In-Time manufacturing; eliminating the need for costly inventory. Signicast employs Continuous Flow Manu- facturing in every function of the business. From the office to the shop floor, lean initia- tives have been taken into play to create efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality. Early supplier involvement allows Sig- nicast’s in-house technical staff to provide concurrent engineering during the formative stage of product design. Signicast’s engineer- ing team is dedicated to providing customers
with a design that will result in the lowest overall cost with design for manufacturability for components as small as one ounce to as large as 150 pounds. Signicast offers the best total value option
for Complete-to-Print components providing secondary operations such as machining, heat treatment, assembly, painting, finishing and packaging.
