Fire Safety Our hospital has specific procedures for alarms. In the event of a fire drill or a Code Red alert, all patients and visitors would remain in their rooms with the door closed until the Code Red All Clear is given over the intercom or until an authorized staff member comes to evacuate the room. Patients are not moved during drills.
Smoking Visitors and patients are not allowed to smoke in patient rooms, corridors or waiting rooms. Smoking is allowed outside and 25 feet of the building or at the smoking patio located outside of ER entrance. Te use of electronic cigarettes are not permitted within the hospital. Tey fall under the same regulations as a standard cigarette.
TV Televisions are provided free in each patient room. Please be considerate of others and keep the TV volume down. Te sets are controlled by the hand held remote control. Channel listings are located at the back of this book. You can view a variety of patient education videos, plus select from an array of entertainment channels.

Mail received aſter you are discharged will be forwarded to your home.
Flowers Flowers are brought to your room as they are received.
Leave Your Valuables At Home
Do not bring watches, jewelry, cash, or other valuables. DO NOT bring cellphones. Sierra Providence East Medical Center will only be responsible for items deposited in our safe when you are admitted to the hospital. Ask a nurse about the hospital safe.
ATM For your convenience, an automated teller machine (ATM) is available.
Pastoral Care Sierra Providence East Medical Center recognizes the importance of the spiritual part of life. Chaplains are available for crisis counseling, support in facing illness, and help with spiritual concerns of patients and families. We will work with you on arrangements. Te chapel is located on the first floor, near outpatient services.
