of what to expect next. He jumped from big-room thumpers to emotional progressive-house gems and back again. To our expectations, we heard some of the Swedish House Mafia’s biggest productions; such as Greyhound and Don’t You Worry, Child, as well as some of his own hits; such as his remix of Ivan Gough & Feenixpawl’s, In My Mind, and a number of thumpers from his own label, Axtone. Axwell took to the mic a few times during the evening to embrace the crowd and he even let us know that all this snow had made him feel like he was right at home in Sweden. The crowd didn’t want to let go of the man, but he was finally forced off the decks at 2:40am, which was well past the 2:00am end time that was scheduled... a post- Christmas gift direct from the EDM Santa Clause.
Congratulations are in order to everyone that had a hand in making this year’s Pulse a massive success. Party-hats off to all the volunteers, security, staff and team members of DNA Presents and everyone else involved with this celebration of music. I can’t wait to come back to party with the good people of Ottawa for next year’s Pulse. Thank-you, DNA Presents, for a fantastic night of smiles, laughs and sore feet. See you next year!
