Sportradar gets 44m euro boost with new investment
Raising money in the current climate is tricky, unless you’ve got the right product and are in the right industry. EQT seems to think that Sportradar has both.
QT Expansion Capital II is to in- vest approximately 44m euro in Sportradar AG, supplier of sports related live data, odds so- lutions and fraud detection services to bookmakers, media companies, sports fed- erations and government agencies. As part of the transaction EQT Expansion Capital will become a minority investor and provide growth capital to finance Sportradar’s fur- ther organic and acquisitive development. The transaction places an Enterprise Value, pre new money, of 127.5m euro on Sportradar.

as Sportradar’s management, will remain shareholders in Sportradar and will contin- ue to lead Sportradar’s further development and growth after the transaction. EQT Expansion Capital is dedicated to
providing capital for privately owned mid- market companies seeking growth. It is part of EQT, the leading private equity group in Northern Europe with more than 18bn euro in raised capital. Alongside its financial in- vestment, EQT Expansion Capital will pro- vide expertise from EQT’s global network to support and accelerate Sportradar’s further expansion.
