BettingBusinessInteractive • AUGUST 2012 Essential Guide to ... Live Casino AMAYA GAMING Providing a local approach
A range of languages, dealer nationalities and local rules means that Amaya Gaming’s offer has a widespread appeal with gamblers from all over the world.
N
owadays players can enjoy the authentic casino experi- ence from the comfort of their own home. With the high- est quality streaming video and instant access Flash- based games, Amaya Gaming believes it can offer a best-
in-breed gaming experience for in Europe. Its Live Dealer product features what it describes as highly trained international staff, who provide authentic and exciting action across player favourites such as blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and other popular game variations. While the technical aspects of a Live Dealer product is important, such as the video stream quality, a robust and reliable platform and a decent audio feed, Amaya believes that localisation is also a key factor in the success of the product. From early on in the product’s lifecycle, the company was offer- ing tables 24/7 in a variety of languages, including English, Ger- man, Italian, Spanish, French, Greek, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Thai. The dealers are also a mix of Asian and non-Asian (including Australian, Ameri- can and European) staff.
This approach means that players from several different walks of life can be instantly comfortable with the product and the recognition factor provides confidence in the site’s integrity as well. When combined with localised rules - tweaks in the game- play depending on geographical location - then that little bit of ef- fort can go a long way.
The firm has worked closely with HOGaming in developing the product, spending as much time on the personal aspects of the games as the technical one. The Live Dealers are trained by the staff at the Grand Lisboa Casino in Macau and Amaya champions their professional approach, such as standing as opposed to sit while dealing. The company explained: “We offer authentic casino game play. Many other live dealer products do not deal Baccarat in the tradi-
tional casino way and they miss proper Baccarat trends and trend indicators. The Chartwell and HOGaming offering retains those au- thentic elements and stays true to the land-based experience. “Our authentic roulette experience includes trend indicators, multiple table views, custom bets and the ability to see other play- ers’ activity - elements that are missing from some competitors’ products.”
Amaya offers a fully customisable approach to its Live Dealer product too, even allowing operators to run open and private ta- bles for players - perfect for retaining the interest of High Rollers with some personal attention. Existing Amaya customers can also use the current integration APU to get up and running in a short period of time.
