Success for Weir SPM in the Canadian oil sands

Weir SPM’s Edmonton fi eld service group recently developed

a pilot project to meet the needs of a key customer. The team recognised an opportunity to increase the level of service provided to their clients and performed rotary breaker tire surface repairs for a key account in the oil sands market. The customer was pleased with the overall results of the project and placed another two orders. The group initially used equipment

from Weir in the USA before purchasing tire surfacing equipment. In addition to increasing their level of service to their oil sands clients, this capability allowed Weir SPM to pursue opportunities in the petrochemical and other mining sectors of the industry.
