Close your eyes for a minute and think: ‘What box am I in because of another person’s mindless, unplanned and reckless thoughts, visions, words and feelings?’

Annie Coetzee

Close your eyes for a minute and think: ‘What box am I in because of another person’s mindless, unplanned and reckless thoughts, visions, words and feelings?’

I hope I have raised your awareness of possible, subtle insinuations and suggestions that have made you a defensive species: your entire life revolving around credos of ‘this is the way life should happen.’ It is quite funny is it not? It is also sad. And it happens every day to millions of people. Once you realise that you are in some kind of box, the first question I want to ask you is: ‘How far can you see from there?’

The GOOD news: Jack gets out of the box!

Imagine any box in your cupboard. Most of them have lids and some of the lids are pretty heavy. Others have clips or latches. The objects in your box, whether this is jewellery or letters or whatever, stay in the box, until you open the box.

You and I are not objects. We are human beings with a brain, a heart and a body so wonderful it is breathtaking. The astonishing power and energy we are born with, makes it possible for us to get out of the box. Remember, when Jack got out of the box, he was smiling, he was pushing forward with gusto, and he wowed his audience. Jack needed someone to open the box. You and I do not. It will help! But we do not need it. We can use our minds and hearts, the

energy in our magnificent bodies and leap out. If we add the element of surprise to this leaping out of the box and utilise our energies to turn our lives around and live our dreams.

I once read a story about a weight lifter in the

UK who could not break the world record of lifting more than 500 pounds. No matter how hard he tried, no matter how close he came to successfully reaching his goal – he just could not do it. Everybody in the weight-lifting circuits said that it was an impossible goal. However, his coach decided to put extra weight on his bar while training, but did not tell him that he was doing it. The weight lifter was not aware of the fact that he was lifting more than 500 pounds during his practice sessions. Somehow, this coach got a brain wave that said, ‘I’m not keeping him in THIS box.’

Guess what! He broke the record! You see, being ‘boxed in’ limits people. ‘Living in a box’ cramps your style and creativity and discourages a life without limits.

I am so inspired when I talk about this

subject that I often imagine how I tap into that perfect feeling where my frequencies are higher than a kite and my love for those in boxes, more powerful than the sun! And then I know: there are people in the world who have the gift of helping others out of their boxes. The weight lifting coach was one of them! Perhaps you have someone like that in your environment. Maybe you are going to be a ‘coach’ who lifts the lid off a box where some dear person has been stuck in for years.
