11. ON SAFARI: TIGERS OF THE FOREST Your small group adventure unfolds at daybreak on a drive in an open-topped jeep, with expert trackers, into the heart of Bandhavgarh Forest. Rocky hills, lush deciduous trees, marshes, meadows – and wildlife – make the area one of India’s most scenic, along with a picturesque hilltop fort whose ramparts and sculptures date back to the 1st century AD.
