LEAPFROG
Tag Junior Get Ready to Read (£16.99) encourages toddlers to learn and understand phonic letter sounds. To drive an early interest in reading, Leapfrog is launching interactive flash cards to help teach children the alphabet. Also new for this year, the firm is releasing an interactive fold-out map, encouraging children to explore Scout’s House while learning 50 words associated with the home. Once they have mastered early
reading skills, children can then move on to Early Reading (from £12.99) on the Tag. This is designed to encourage pre-schoolers to phonically sound out simple words with characters including Dora the Explorer and Nemo. Children are encouraged to start reading independently using the Read On Your Own level. New Tag book Brave forms part of the series. The final Learn Through
Reading stage explores complicated puzzles, maths and logic. This year, the category will see a number of additions including the interactive Travel Around the Human Body Map (£16.99), which teaches children about simple biology.
Things That Go (£12.99) is Leapfrog’s
