Pixel Power: Scalable and automated
NAB 2012 sees the full debut of Gallium, Pixel Power’s scalable scheduling, asset management and automation system, writes Fergal Ringrose. It provides automated control of Pixel Power’s transmission devices for graphics or complete channel playout, including ChannelMaster. Gallium goes beyond what many expect from channel-in-a-
box automation, providing enterprise- standard, scalable automated transmission. With the ability to manage multi-format content delivery (web, mobile, IPTV), Gallium maximises sharing across multiple channels, reducing workload and resource requirements while enhancing delivery and consistency with a single operator.
ChannelMaster is an out-of-the-box solution bringing new channels to air quickly and cost-effectively. ChannelMaster integrates storage, graphics, DVE, audio, subtitling, master control, live feed and long-form video playout within a single dedicated hardware platform. N2034

Playout with Channel Maker
By Jake Young
AT NAB wTVision will highlight three products with new features and interfaces for the broadcast market. Channel Maker is wTVision’s
playout automation system. The system is flexible and scalable due to its open architecture and can be connected to existing infrastructures or setup as an out-of-the-box solution. wTVision will also present Studio CG. The solution edits and manages information and launches graphics in realtime. All graphics templates, such as lower-thirds, bar charts and tables are included, which means that the operators only need to fill information. SportStats CG provides tools to collect, manage and compare sports data, transforming the information into on-air graphics. SL7428
