F Rainwater cistern hides under the stairs.

G Vertical axis wind generator or wind finder hides in the cupola.

Work shops and home offices often rank high on the wish lists for those who have plenty of acreage. This 24’ x 28’ building has room for both. At ground level is a work area with a 3/4 bathroom. The plan also calls for a large rainwater cistern and treatment tank tucked into one corner of the ground floor. The system can capture a high volume of water through grates on the lower slopes of the gambrel roof. Upstairs, the design features a 562-sq.-ft. heated area outfitted with three distinct and spacious work stations. French doors lead to what the plan describes as a monitoring and observation balcony.
