Designed for a couple, the covered portico and angled garage of this plan give the impression that the home is much larger than 1,864 sq. ft.
Positioned on the home’s west side, the garage angles to shield the home from northwesterly winter winds. All of the home’s living space faces south with generous windows and French doors to capture the sun’s winter heat. A three-sided fireplace takes center stage in the open living area. Though the north side does feature the entry foyer, most of that side is dedicated to the bathrooms, closets and circulation space. The owners’ suite is on the plan’s east side. It has two walk-in closets and access through the bathroom to the covered portico, which is designed to house a hot tub. Tucked in a private space between the kitchen and garage is the home office.
