LEGO Batman TV campaign swoops in
A HEROIC combination of TV ads, retail promotions and outdoor events will help LEGO Batman 2 overthrow its predecessor as the best-selling LEGO game of all time.
TV spots will run for six weeks across Sky 1, Channel 4, Disney XD, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. This will be supported by five weeks of pre-roll ads on video-on-demand services. Trailers will run before superhero films and Euro 2012 matches. The publisher is also

4 Warner’s Crossley (inset) has high hopes for LEGO Batman 2
front and centre at Legoland Windsor and the Legoland Discovery Centre in Manchester. Both venues will host a Superhero Weekend in July.
All of this will be supported by print ads in gaming, film, parenting and kids press – plus retail activity. “This is our biggest release for the first half of
2012, so we have spent time developing an exciting POS pack, driving pre-orders through DLC in-store and online,” said Spencer Crossley, Warner Bros’ UK sales and marketing director. “There is a real opportunity for the game to gain extra exposure across all of retail with The Dark Knight Rises so as a company we are looking at the whole cross category piece as a focus for us through summer and into Q4.”
