New in at No.10 on the Steam charts is Quantum Conundrum. The SQUARE ENIX new IP is from the creative minds behind VALVE’s own Portal, so is sure to do well via Steam.
Developed by AIRTIGHT GAMES, Quantum Conundrumis being promoted by a string of pre-order incentives, such as the Season Pass - which includes the full game, soundtrack and two upcoming DLC packages at a ten per cent discount. Any user that pre-purchases the game would also receive three items to be used in Valve’s hit multiplayer game Team Fortress. Expect the game to hang around until launch on June 21st.
Re-entries in the Steam Top 10 this week includes Magicka Collectionfrom PARADOX, which reached No.5. The game was boosted by a 75 per cent discount last week, while Far Cry Completehad a similar price cut and returned to the Top 10 at No.9.
Price activity in general can cause a significant spike in sales online, however, one of Steam’s biggest rivals – EA Origin – recently criticised aggressive discounting for ‘cheapening IP’.

Over to the iPad charts, and there’s a new top app in the form of HEADUP GAMES and CLOCKSTONE’s Bridge Constructor. The puzzle and simulation game was released at a discounted price for its launch day (May 26th) before increasing shortly afterwards, and was the top seller on the paid and free iPad charts. It also reached No.5 in the iPhone paid Top Ten and No.2 in the iPhone free Top Ten.
Meanwhile, OMGPOP’s dominance of the iOS is officially at an end. Draw Somethinghad disappeared from all iOS rankings, but can still be found at No.5 in the Android paid charts.
