raditionally, people work with colleagues via one- on-one, real-time interactions, mostly in-person or by telephone, or through meetings. Even in today’s


mobile business environment, conference calls still are the order of the day.


But according to research conducted by Forrester, only 29 percent of ‘Generation Y’ workers believe meetings are an efficient way to decide on a course of action. Indeed, the scheduled, meeting-centric approach can stifle spur-of-the-moment collaboration and innovation, and damage the ‘real-time’ nature of social interactions.
