Computer 2000 signs deal with Acronis Brings easy cloud and virtualised data protection and DR to a wider market


C


omputer 2000 has signed a UK distribution deal with Acronis, a leading provider of easy-to-use disaster recovery and data protection solutions


across physical, virtual and cloud environments. Te agreement will give Computer 2000’s customers access to the full range of solutions from Acronis, including the popular Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Server for Windows, Acronis vmProtect 6 and Backup & Recovery 11 Virtual Edition.


Commenting on the appointment, James Reed, General Manager of the Software business unit at Computer 2000, said: ‘Acronis is now clearly established as one of the leading players in disaster recovery and data protection and this agreement adds a valuable new dimension to our software portfolio and one that complements our existing range. Tis is a growing area of the market and by providing solutions for physical, virtual and cloud-based IT systems – or any combination of the three, Acronis is absolutely in tune with the needs of end-users. It presents resellers with a great opportunity to add a new and profitable revenue stream to their business.’


Acronis is already well-established in the UK corporate market, where it has been particularly successful in meeting the data protection needs of virtualised environments. With many more SMEs now also turning to virtualisation, and also making use of cloud services to create hybrid IT set-ups, the opportunities for resellers are growing all the time.

Great turn-out for Adobe Boot Camp

e had a great turnout for the first Adobe Partner Connect Boot Camp, which took place on 22 February at Wokefield Park, Reading. Lots of


partners turned up to learn about getting certified for Adobe Acrobat, Creative Suite and Adobe Licensing, and to make the best use of CLP, access and use deal registration tools, earn extra margin on Adobe products.
