Sciplay replaced by ‘relationship’

he Sciplay joint venture between sup- ply giants Scientific Gamesand


Playtechhas been downgraded to a ‘strategic relationship relating to internet gaming products and services’. Playtech will now license its gaming software to Sci- entific Games on a mutually non-exclusive basis for use by certain categories of Scien- tific Games’ current and prospective cus- tomers. This restructured arrangement seeks to replicate the successful strategic relationship that Scientific Games’ Global Draw subsidiary and Playtech have in place for use of Playtech’s Videobet technology for server-based gaming machines (pic- tured). The par- ties anticipate entering into ad- ditional docu- mentation in the coming weeks to further detail certain aspects of the arrange- ment.

The agreement gives IGT, via its inter- active division based in San Francisco, the rights in legalised jurisdictions, to continue distribution of online casino games created specifically for famous Hasbro brands. IGT currently offers a wide-range of casino games based on Hasbro brands such as Mo- nopoly, Cluedo, Battleship, Transformers and Dungeons & Dragons. The agreement also includes provisions for IGT to produce
