Updated corporate work shirt offering for 2012 F
ruit of the Loom has modernised its Poplin Shirts, making these classic uniform styles an even more compelling choice for corporate wear customers.
The Poplin Shirts range comprises long and shirt sleeve styles in Menʼs and Lady-Fit cuts. Made from a lightweight and highly durable 55% cotton/45% polyester fabric, (115/120 gm/m2), the shirts are especially comfortable choices for staff working in busy indoor environments and warmer climates. The updated menʼs shirts now feature a slightly slimmer fit. This has been achieved through subtle waist shaping, and minor reductions to the girth width (chest and hem), shoulder length, armhole depth and bicep width. The garments also feature an updated chest patch pocket, which now has a more pointed shape, plus a reduced collar point length and reduced collar spread. The combined effect of these changes is to give the new shirts a more contemporary look and image.
The Lady-Fit Poplin Shirts also benefit from the new, pointed pocket profile. Other improvements include increased waist and hem
measurements, reshaped front and back armholes for a better fit, and a reduced collar point length for a more modern appearance.
The Poplin Shirts feature self- coloured buttons, and the two Lady-Fit styles also feature shaped side seams, and back and bust darts. The garments are available in a choice of five colours – black, mid blue, navy, red and white. The Menʼs Poplin Shirts come in sizes S (37-38 cm collar) – XXXL (47-48 cm collar) and the Lady-Fit Poplin Shirts come in sizes XS (8) – XXXL (20). “The updated design of the new Poplin Shirts is perfectly tailored to the needs and demands of todayʼs workforce,” Joanne Lewis, marketing manager, comments.
Also available in the Fruit of the Loom Shirts collection is a range of Oxford Shirts. They are made in a heavier weight 70% cotton/30% polyester Oxford fabric (130/135 gm/m2), with the Menʼs styles featuring a classic button-down collar and mitred chest pocket: the Lady-Fit styles have shaped side seams, and back and bust darts.
