EMBROIDERY Zoje embroidery machines arrive

MARK HOBKIRK (LEFT): Every machine goes through a strict two-day pre-delivery inspection and QC.

B

lackburn-based Hobkirk Sewing Machines has been supplying commercial embroidery machines for over 20 years, working principally with Tajima, Toyota, Melco and Brother. Many people will be unfamiliar with the name Zoje, but to Hobkirk it is an everyday name as they have been importing and distributing their range of industrial sewing machines for almost 10 years and they have been well received by both clothing manufacturers and other sewing machine distributors around the UK. Zoje has a strong presence in the marketplace worldwide,

manufacturing in excess of a million sewing

machines every year and distributing them to over 100 countries.

Established in

1994 and employing over 2000 people, Zoje are also listed on the Shenzhen

stock exchange. Zoje embroidery machines are distributed throughout the western world via Zoje Europe which is based in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Many of the workers there are ex-Pfaff employees. Those of you familiar with sewing machines will know the

exceptional quality of Pfaff products. “The German connection is what really stood out for us,” said Mark Hobkirk. “We already knew the machines from Zoje would be good as we have been supplying their products for many years but the back up support of a German company with ex Pfaff people is the icing on the cake for us. Every machine imported into Europe goes through a strict two day PDI and QC inspection before being delivered to the UK, ensuring the very best quality.” They supply a complete range of single, two, four, six and eight head machines with up to 15 needles and running at speeds of up to 1200spm. All machines are also supported by a two year warranty. “Affordable, quality machines with the superior back up support of a family company of over 100 years is what we feel will give us the edge in this market place,” said Mark.

Ian says YES to a new northern role

N

ottinghamshire based Your Embroidery Services Ltd have appointed Ian McLeod to cover Scotland and north England. He will be covering both DTG direct to garment printers and SWF embroidery machines for the company.

The embroidery side of the business is something he is particularly excited about. He said “This is something new for me but, effectively, it is still capital equipment so similar considerations are there for prospective clients and I will be able to offer them the same support and help that I have always been committed to. The technical differences with embroidery wonʼt be a problem at all as I know I have the strongest team of experts in the business at the back of me.” Roy Burton, managing director of YES Ltd said: “We have been looking to offer increased support to Scotland and the North for a while but the person had to be right. With the spread of products and techniques we offer it was never going to be easy to find expertise across the board but that was not the main criteria anyway. “We wanted someone who, first and foremost, had the right attitude to customer service and Ian certainly fits that description. From a technical point of view he will naturally receive the best training available but YES is a team and we will always use that teamʼs skill and expertise to support our colleagues out in the field.” ■ Contact Ian on 07841 206980 or via the YES Ltd office on 01623 863343.
