The bike show turned up some impressive machinery by any standard

Right: The Millenium

The good thing about having a conventional building housing the bar is that you have somewhere comfortable to hide from foul weather and though the daytime warmth of this bash was most unseasonable there is still something nice about finding a comfy seat and a table to sit at. It seems the Tawton Rugby club offered excellent hire terms which helped Devon MAG raise a spectacular £3000 for MAG funds. For a first rally this is absolutely brilliant and could hardly have come at a better time with so much expense being generated by MAG’s escalating political activity this year. I had my Mac with me and made an effort at finishing a few pages but was subject to constant distractions of the best kind though I am proud to say that I

stayed off the beer until the bewitching hour of 8.27 after which I considered it valid to swallow a few halves of real ale which was reasonably priced and fell down my face with no complaint. A special treat was meeting an 84 year old member (middle of group with balloons) whose name is locked into my iphone somewhere. It was great talking to you sir and thanks for your words of encouragement. Please get in touch as I’d like to run a feature on your biking experiences.

Thanks to everyone who has bought MAG in Devon back to life, (no names or I’ll miss someone). Thanks also to Bandit Jane for tolerating the ludicrous optimism of my feverish imagination with such fortitude.
