AROUND THE PAC-12: DUEL IN THE DESERT
Arizona won the Territorial Cup by rallying in the fourth quarter for its victory over Arizona State in Tempe. The Sun Devils had taken a 27–17 lead early in the fi nal period before quarterback Nick Foles pulled the Wildcats within three points by tossing a 33-yard touchdown pass to Gino Crump. The next time Arizona had the ball, Foles was injured and replaced by Bryson Beirne. On Beirne’s only pass of the night, he tossed a short completion to Juron Criner, who broke free for the game-winning, 23-yard touchdown with 5:18 remaining.
