The national carrier, Avianca, flies from Madrid to Bogota, as well as Miami, New York and Washington, among other international destinations. Iberia flies from Madrid to Bogota, Air France flies via Paris and Lufthansa via Frankfurt. US airlines Delta, American Airlines and Continental-United operate via hubs such as New York, Atlanta, Miami, Houston and Washington. Avianca is rumoured to be launching direct flights between London and Bogota in 2012, while Cartagena and Bogota are both in the pipeline for Air Europa via Madrid.
