RODNEY BAY VILLAGE Tropical Adventure in...

Saint Lucia should be an easy sell. Whether your clients are looking for romance, rejuvenation or adventure, the natural landscape, palm-fringed beaches, miles of unspoiled rainforest and majestic Piton Mountains provide the perfect backdrop for a great escape. The beautiful beaches and natural

assets are certainly the star attractions but Saint Lucia also offers lots to see and do too and has some great resorts to recommend to your clients. Check out Rodney Bay Village, for example, in north-west Saint Lucia. The beach of Rodney Bay, Reduit Beach, is everything your clients would expect from Saint Lucia and in addition, beyond the beach, the village has a wide variety of resorts and hotels offering something for everyone. Then there are the restaurants, cafes, shops, the Baywalk Mall, night clubs and the new Treasure Bay Casino.

Rodney Bay Room Report Each of the resorts and hotels available in and around the village has its own style and flair. There are two Rex Resorts

properties – the St Lucian and the Royal – offering everything from pampering spas to the best in award- winning restaurants. Or there is the four-star Bay

Gardens Beach Resort and Spa, a property with French Caribbean and Georgian Plantation style, and the smaller, Bay Gardens Hotel. For those looking for something more intimate the 76-bedroomed Village Inn Resort and Spa is a popular choice or suggest the 11-bedroomed boutique property of Ginger Lily Hotel, set in tropical gardens and known locally as a hidden treasure. Coco Palm, minutes from the Baywalk Mall, features a range of pool- and garden-view suites and rooms. Harmony Suites is an all-suites

property surrounded by lush gardens and close to dozens of restaurants, while Tuxedo Villas is just a stone's throw from Reduit Beach. Whichever resort your client chooses,

the service standards will be excellent and Rodney Bay's amenities and activities will be close at hand.

the Rodney Bay Marina and its 4.5- acre boatyard, with space for glitzy mega-yachts too. The marina becomes the focus of attention during the annual ARC yacht race. The yachts arrive in mid- December, from Gran Canaria, Spain, and their skippers enjoy onshore facilities that are world-class. Rodney Bay Marina offers the perfect

home from home for yachtsmen needing to re-supply or relax in the marina’s recreational area, which includes a swimming pool, retail, restaurant and entertainment areas. Water-based activities are, of course, among the top experiences on Saint Lucia and beyond the yachts there is deep-sea fishing, kayaking, scuba diving and whale-watching. On dry land,
