claims is a surge in five-star bookings to Cuba by introducing a new luxury property on the Cuban island of Cayo Santa Maria. Bookings to the destination this year
are up 25 per cent over 2010, with demand for five-star properties up by 53 per cent. To meet rising demand for luxury products Kuoni will start selling the Melia Buenavista Royal Service and Spa when it opens in November. The adults-only resort’s Nautical
Centre will offer guests various water sports and scuba dive excursions among the island’s offshore reefs. The secluded resort, with a UNESCO biosphere reserve as a backdrop, will most likely appeal to couples and honeymooners. For example, on offer are complimentary 25-minute massages, a butler service and a hypothermal circuit in the hotel spa.
