Stephen’s 50Miles Challenge


On Sunday 1 May, Peterhead jogscotland took on the Big 50 (Miles) Challenge to raise a fantastic £1,200 for the Leah Ligertwood Appeal.

company Technip, to his hometown of Peterhead, to celebrate his 50th birthday. Starting off at 8.30am on the Sunday morning, with 15 runners, four of them completed the full distance only eight and a half hours later! The rest of the team completed approximately 50k between them.


Stephen said: “Iwish I had £1 for every time someone said to me ‘you stay in Peterhead, that’s some drive every day’. It’s always been my ambition to say I have actually run it too! Now I have!”


Great Edinburgh Run


Make sure you’re part of the Bupa Great Edinburgh Run, which this year takes place on Sunday 2October.


Over 10,000 people took part in the 10k city centre event in 2010 which provided an electric atmosphere. The event is brought to you by the organisers of the Bupa GreatNorth Run so you can be assured of excellent organisation and race day experience with music on course, warm up, finishers pack containing medal, t-shirts, Powerade, Aqua Pura plus lots of other giveaways.


Last year, 97 per cent of runners rated the course, which takes in some of Edinburgh’s more famous historic attractions, as good or excellent!


The day also includes the Bupa Junior and Mini Great Edinburgh Run suitable for youngsters aged three to 14 years.
