Staffordshire on 21 May 2011, will see teams from across the fashion and retail industry come together for a day to complete the distance of a marathon on foot, bike and canoe, with bonus challenges for the super fit or super competitive! The challenge is sponsored by Prima Solutions, the UK’s leading supplier
of complete multi-channel IT solutions to the clothing, footwear and accessories market. It offers participants an unusual, fun way of testing themselves personally, as well as providing a refreshing and imaginative brand of teambuilding and networking across the industry. CARE Challenge Manager Neil Munro said, “There’s no better incentive to
get fit than a charity challenge and training with colleagues, so it’s the ideal New Year’s Resolution. What’s more, the funds you raise along the way will change the lives of some of the poorest people in the world, which is the most rewarding achievement of all.” CARE works in over 70 countries helping 59 million of the world’s poorest people find a route out of poverty. One year on from the devastating earthquake in Haiti, CARE is still working tirelessly in the region to provide shelter and restore livelihoods. CARE has assisted over 360,000 people following this disaster. CARE has a wonderful fundraising record with the fashion industry.
Says Neil, “We’re hoping this year we’ll top our £60,000 fundraising record for the Prima Solutions Adventure Challenge. This will be our fifth event, and will bring the total raised over the last five years to over £250,000.” So far eleven teams from the industry have signed up, including
Timberland, Sheactive, Zoca, Prima Solutions and an intrepid team from Menswear and Womenswear Buyer!
