ara & jenny by ara - 2011 / 2012 Autumn/Winter Women's Collections

It's all about comfort – functional fashion for cold winter days B

oots galore ... whether high and three-quarter boots, half-boots, lace-up boots or ankle boots, fashion-conscious women will look truly bootilicious in winter 2011/12. Tailored to this

demand, the new ara collection for women features an extensive range of boots, including high boots with leg widths from S to XXL that stylishly capture the sense of laid-back casualness of women's fashion with a superb mix of fashion and comfort. The new heights introduced for boot legs, together with the proven fit to which ara enthusiasts have become accustomed, are a match made in heaven. ara has interpreted the latest fashion trends, which draw heavily on arctic themes as well the charm of feminine retro-styling, by focusing on nubuck, suede or smooth Chevreaux leather as well as soft leathers. Buffed effects and leopard prints underline the trendy touch, while brushed leather features prominently in the Casual segment to accentuate the sporty look. Cuffed, ruffled, fur appliqué and ornamental trims, studded straps, buckles and chains reflect the rejuvenated styling of this collection. In keeping with the season's outerwear styles, which are dominated by coarse and jersey knits as well as tweeds and checks, the colours chosen for the collection range from black through grey to dark blue. Additionally, shades of brown, cognac, taupe and mud play a prominent role. The lasts range from asymmetrically rounded to domed, squared or pointed, with widths upto H. The boots, pumps and lace-ups featuring slim-line outsoles, crepe outsoles or platform designs are combined with straight block and Cuban heels as well as wedges, the majority of which have been covered. Toothed and Vibram treads provide a safe grip on snow and ice. Many of the designs include GoreTex for the very best in cosy comfort and dry feet even in wet and snowy winter weather. In fact, the GoreTex range has been extended.

Within the jenny by ara collection, the latest fashion

trend focuses on casual and feminine styles in the form of soft jersey-knit dresses, tweed jackets, silk blouses and finest cashmere cardigans. The new silhouette features a prominent shoulder line and a healthy dose of leg. Once again, boots are the must- have match for knee-high skirts, slimline jeans and leggings this winter, and the Jenny by ara collection has tailored a superb range to meet the requirements of

trendy young women – with wearability and comfort playing a significant role. At ara, fashion and comfort are never mutually

exclusive, which is why the collection includes high-end features such as Comfort Stretch – a concealed elastic gusset – and Comfort Flex – a slit sole with memory foam – as well as the tried and trusted exchangeable footbeds. Together, they deliver unrivalled comfort with every step

you take. What is more, genuine new-wool linings in the leg and on the insole keep the feet toasty even at sub-

zero temperatures. Their success speaks for itself: the "Fitness"

range of sports shoes, featuring natural- instability soles, has been further extended to include half-boots. The much more youthful and trendy jenny by ara collection has been expanded mainly within the sporty segment, but also in the Jenny-Tex range, and now includes a total of 120 designs, which is roughly 20% more than in the previous collection. However, they all have one thing in common: exceptional ara-style comfort combined with young, fashionable and affordable designs.
