CPA explains the benefits
CPA will welcome members and non-members to its stand, where it will explain the benefits the Association offers, such as safety leaflets on CD-Rom covering tools and small plant,
and the CPA model conditions.
Staff will explain the insurance services it can provide with lower premiums, and the safety support that is offered through Best Practice Guides, which are used by HSE inspectors. CPA will launch the latest guidance, on the use of telehandlers, during the Show.
CTE to launch battery option
New from CTE UK will be a version of its Traccess 170 compact tracked
access platform powered by a lithium battery. Designated the 170E, the machine has a 48V drive motor and a 100Ah battery, typically providing up to five hours operation between charges. Larger capacity batteries can also be supplied. The platform is fitted as standard with a 110V mains electric auxiliary motor, and the machine can be operated while it is being charged from the mains. Like the 170, it offers a 17m working height with 7.5m outreach.

Work efficiently with Hilti
Hilti will highlight technologies that offer value-added solutions in terms of enhanced Health & Safety benefits and greater productivity, such as its Active Torque Control (ATC) and Active Vibration Reduction (AVR). Equipment is also designed to reduce risks associated with noise, dust and working at height. Visitors will be able to inspect the manufacturer’s latest breakers, which can be fitted with self-sharpening polygon chisels designed to give greater hammering power with lower vibration. Also on show will be the TE DRS-B dust removal system which can filter out up to 95% of potentially hazardous fine dust at the chisel and chuck.
Broader GenSet offering
GenSet says that, at this year’s Show, it will launch its biggest generator range yet for the hire industry, which includes options for railway maintenance, Fusion Tin 12 units, welfare models and super silenced machines, as well as bespoke options.
The manufacturer is
offering new trading terms, such as
guaranteed buy back and part exchange options, leasing and hire purchase facilities. It is also looking to appoint commission agents and re-sellers.
