EXECUTIVE HIRE SHOW PREVIEW continued

Bomag goes wireless

Products on show from Bomag will include the 1.6 tonne BMP 8500 trench compacter, which incorporates articulated steering to prevent pre-compacted surfaces being loosened. The machine can be operated via wireless remote control and it has the manufacturer’s operator security system, BOSS, which detects the position of the user relative to the unit. If they are inside the zone of risk, the machine stops automatically.

Leach Lewis quartet

The Leach Lewis Group will promote the four key areas of its business. Staff will be on hand to discuss equipment in the Leach Lewis Construction portfolio, which includes brands such as Kubota, Ingersoll Rand, Atlas Copco, Manitou, Norton Clipper and Honda, while Leach Lewis Capital will offer advice on funding solutions, from basic hire purchase agreements to complex off-balance sheet products. Duco, Leach Lewis’ own-branded range of

products, includes replacement rubber tracks as well as a track repair and recycling facility. The latest item in the line-up is the Clipper C99 floor saw, now re-branded as the Duco D99. The final quarter of the stand will be devoted to Snorkel UK, the recently launched partnership between Leach Lewis and powered access manufacturer, Snorkel. Snorkel UK is the master distributor in this country for all Snorkel products.

An Ecomode system matches engine power to demand, giving less fuel consumption, lower exhaust emissions and longer service life, and auto-idle is incorporated. Quick-attach bolt-on drum extensions are supplied with the machine.

Pramac powers up

Pramac UK has chosen the Show as the perfect opportunity to launch its new range of 1,500rpm generators for the hire industry, offering outputs from 20-250kVA. Also being unveiled will be a compact 5kVA diesel unit, which will be offered alongside the existing P6000 super-silent model. The company’s Lifter handling division will also be

represented on the stand, promoting a line-up ranging from hand pallet trucks to counterbalance forklifts. Pramac is also launching solar panels and micro wind turbines later this year, and will explain how these can help organisations lower their carbon footprints.

As well as offering Show-only ‘killer deals’, Pramac will display the MotoGP bike that will be ridden this season by Randy De Puniet and Louis Capirossi, whom the company sponsor.
