EXECUTIVE HIRE SHOW PREVIEW

This year’s main event

The Executive Hire Show is, quite simply, our industry’s main launchpad for new tools, equipment and plant in 2011, and you cannot afford to miss it. EHN previews just some of the exciting new products being unveiled.

New Youngman micro scissor

Youngman Group will launch its new Boss X3X-SP self-propelled micro scissor lift, the latest addition to the X-Series. Live demonstrations will be given of the machine, which offers a working height of 5.13m, an overall width of 760mm and a weight of 499kg. Youngman will also be showcasing its

environmentally friendly Ecolite lighting towers, which use four energy-efficient, 150watt ceramic discharge metal

halide bulbs in conjunction with patented prismatic lenses for high-quality definition, clarity and colour rendering. The products are claimed to deliver savings in fuel consumption and other running costs of up to 80%.

Also on show will be the Boss Cam-Lock advance guardrail (AGR) system, along with the latest developments within Youngman’s Staging and Event Products Division.

Ammann to show latest rammers

EXHIBITOR STAND B45

Ammann Equipment will unveil its ACR 60/68 rammers which have been developed to meet the needs of the hire industry. Their main bodies have a new design of upper housing with an over-large air filter that incorporates a self-cleaning air box. Together, these modifications are claimed to extend maintenance intervals by up to five times. A service indicator light is also included. An hour meter on the rammers helps users to monitor their HAV exposure, and a simple height adjustment mechanism is fitted to the guide handle. Power comes from a Honda petrol engine and the lower leg of the machine has been designed so that an additional 10cm spacer can be fitted to facilitate compaction work with narrow 165mm shoes.

45 Celebrate with Seddons

Seddons is celebrating its 60th Diamond Anniversary in 2011, and the company invites visitors to join its party on the stand and see a new series of generators from Honda Power Equipment, a new Taskman pressure washer with a mini bowser, a new tracked Camon mini crusher that fits in a Transit van, multiple Diamond Deals from Stihl, MBW and Norton Clipper, plus Honda engine training courses. Staff of sister company, generator specialist Brownpower, will be in attendance, and Seddons’ Sales & Marketing Director, Phil Winnington, says: “Come and discuss your parts and equipment needs for 2011 - it’s a piece of cake!”

EXHIBITOR STAND C85

Husqvarna’s nine newcomers

Husqvarna Construction Products is set to launch no fewer than nine new products targeted at seven different market segments, which emphatically demonstrates the Show’s breadth of appeal. These include a lightweight remote controlled demolition

robot machine, two petrol disc cutters incorporating Husqvarna’s X-Torq low-emission engines, a hand-held diamond core drill developed for the UK hire market, and an automatic diamond core drill. Electric disc cutters with dust

extraction will be

among the

newcomers on the stand, as well as a petrol disc cutter for the rail industry with an innovative low-maintenance engine system, and a 110V floor grinder. A new range of diamond blades will also be shown on the stand.
