Allowing Hosted Networking Stand holders to pre-schedule more detailed and in-depth discussions in a private environment on their own stands. Airline Meeting Chalets included many more major airlines which sent

larger, more senior delegations from a range of departments. In fact, Emirates used its meeting chalet to design its short-term network plans based on discussions and meetings its representatives had at World Routes. With over 80 meetings taking place in its chalet, Emirates created two private meeting rooms that were large enough for stakeholder involvement. Presentations were also made within the chalet and they were able to have longer meetings with airports and their stakeholders.

Airline Requirement Briefi ngs were held at World Routes for the

fi rst time in the all-new Routes Talks seminar theatre in the Networking Village. These allowed carriers to brief airports and tourism authorities on the aircraft capacity available for potential new routes, their network aspirations, planning cycle and what they expect to see from airports and tourism authorities in terms of information sharing and marketing support. US Airways, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Jetstar Airways, Norwegian.com, Monarch Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Ryanair and Hainan Airlines were among the carriers hosting their own briefi ngs.
