GRAPH EXPO • October 5, 2010 ■ 43 NEWPRODUCTS image. The 4,800-dpi high-resolution
dots are significantly smaller than the dots utilized in 2,400 dpi printing. Flexo Dot 4800 features a reinforce- ment pattern for the halftone dots forming the base of the image. Applying a rein- forcing pattern to the base halftone dot shape produces more consistent relief pat- terns in the highlight areas. This enables natural looking gradations that rival offset printing, even in the extreme highlight areas, while maintaining the density that companies expect from flexo printing. The Screen PlateRite FX870II and PlateRite FX1524 thermal CTP record- ers can use Flexo Dot 4800. Both mod- els offer a maximum output resolution of 4,800 dpi as standard.

ICEserver Litho press-ready files create sharp colors, neutral gray balance, and improve dynamic range for greater press stability and consistency. In the process, these files reduce manufacturing costs with faster makereadies and on average a 25% reduction in CMYK ink consump- tion. ICEserver Litho accomplishes this while adhering to industry print speci- fications such as GRACoL and SWOP. Besides the standard features which include the XG (Expanded Gamut)
