CABLE JACKETING GUARDS AGAINST INSTALLATION DAMAGE Honeywell released WaveFLEX, a new cable jacketing designed to help dealers and integrators save time and money by reducing the likelihood of damaging the cable during installation. With its flexible, ridged jacketing, WaveFLEX reduces the likelihood of kinks and tearing braids or shielding. It also makes cable easier to strip and terminate, as well as withstand the rigors of the most chal- lenging installations while maintaining full UL specifica- tions. “The last thing an integrator wants is to lose time on an installation due to cable damage that could have been avoided,” said Honeywell’s Leann Meachum. “The new WaveFLEX jacketing protects against that damage...” Honeywell

use with its fire protection products. The company now offers various mounting plates and brackets to enable quick instal- lation of its prism arrays, as well as protec- tive cages for several of its Fireray model detector heads and controller units. The Prism Plate for either one or four prisms is suitable for situations where the wall fac- ing the detector head is perpendicular to the angle of the beam. Compatible with FFE’s Fireray 5000, the Fireray 50/100R and Fireray 2000 models, the protective cages are made from plastic-coated galvanized steel and will protect detector heads and controller units from accidental damage.
