No. 3 Broadview Dealer in America Partners with Guardian
Protection Services Southern Alarm, the No. 3 ranked Broadview dealer in America, entered a partnership with Guardian Protection Services as an authorized dealer. Kelley Clements, president and chief executive officer of Southern Alarm, said, “Our company has been aligned with a very values-based organization in Brinks/Broadview, and after much research, I felt that Guardian best matched those same values. In fact, their operations were even a little more impressive than any I have ever seen.” Southern Alarm generates approximately 150 to 180 accounts per month, and was consistently ranked within the first three spots on the Broadview Top 20, according to a release “You are placed on Broadview’s list by certain metrics. Volume is not the only indicating factor,” Clements said. “A dealer must also main- tain quality installations, low attrition, and high levels of service.” “We were immediately impressed with their operations, and
knew right away Southern Alarm would be a great fit for Guard- ian’s business model,” said Hank Groff, national director of Guardian’s Authorized Dealer Program. “Brinks/Broadview was a tremendous company, and I knew that their dealers emulated similar qualities. Pelco Promotes CEO,
Plans for Growth & Expansion Schneider Electric announced that Pelco president and CEO, Dean Meyer has been promoted to the new position of executive vice president, Buildings Business, one of the company’s five global businesses. He is now responsible for the day-to-day opera- tions of Buildings and reports directly to Chris Curtis, president and CEO, Schneider
Electric Buildings Business.
“Dean has done an outstanding job leading our Pelco organi- zation, and with his leadership I’m confident we will execute on the bold growth agenda we have for our Buildings Business,” said Curtis. “Pelco is an important part of this business and with Dean’s background we will take advantage of the many oppor- tunities we have to strengthen and grow Pelco and more closely align Pelco with our overall organization.” Meyer stated that Pelco remains 100 percent committed to its
existing specialized sales channels (independent sales represen- tatives, dealers, distributors, and all resellers remain the same), and that this does not affect the Pelco business model in any way. With Pelco’s closer alignment to the Buildings Business, there are no plans to replace Meyer’s former position. ■
