47. Create new promotional material (business cards, flyers,

48. Sponsor an event in your

clean up the environment.
(Invite the press.)
49. Set up your own business expo with cooperative merchants and host it
in your store. (Invite the press!)
50. Study copywriting and implement changes in your newsletter and blog to
increase your customer base.
51. Pick an energetic song and listen to it at least once per day – make it
your anthem!
52. Know that your business is an asset, not a job.
As you and I both know, these suggested methods of growing business are not
new. As a matter of fact, you’ve read them in this business publication, heard
it during business sessions at CHA and/or read it on business websites geared
toward scrapbook retailing.
The only difference, if there is one for you this year, is that this time you will
move past the “thinking about it” stage and commit to taking action every
day. You know, there are patterns to growing a business. Statistics indicate
that the chances for success largely depend on setting realistic and achievable
objectives.
The hardest part, however, is embracing the necessary changes that you must
make. After all, the only thing constant in life is change. If you refuse to adopt
52
and adapt to change and make the most of the opportunities before you, then
your business will be in the same place (or worse) at the end of 2010 as it
was at the beginning.
Never forget the expression,
“Grow or Die”. Grow is better.
