Institute For Organization Management
Basic Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend your scheduled Institute session, you may transfer your enrollment as a credit to
a future Institute session in 2009 or 2010. Enrollment is not transferable between students. Notification of
cancellation must be made in writing. If cancellation is received less than two weeks prior to the start of your
session, there will be a $250 cancellation charge.
Scholarships
Institute offers two scholarship programs for both new and returning students. Applicants must have the
support of their organization and commit to give back to the Institute program. Selection criteria include
community service, professional background, and level of involvement in industry professional organizations.
For National Institute Scholarships, the applicant’s organization must be a U.S. Chamber of Commerce member.
National Institute Scholarship—Awards of $500 toward first-year enrollment fees are funded by the
U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Six recipients are selected per site.
Regent Scholarship—Awards of varying amounts toward enrollment fees for first-year and returning students
are funded by a site’s Board of Regents.
Scholarship Application—To apply for one or both scholarships, applicants must enroll for an Institute
site and complete the online scholarship application by March 20, 2009, for all summer Institute sites or
October 30, 2009, for Winter Institute. Scholarship recipients will be notified by May 1, 2009, for all summer
sites and December 1, 2009, for Winter Institute.
