Overview
Madison, the capital of Wisconsin, is the home to an array of shopping, dining, cultural
events, outdoor activities, and picturesque landscapes. With 5 local lakes, hundreds
of trails, and more than 200 parks, Madison is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream. In June,
temperatures in Madison range between 70 and 80 degrees, allowing for a variety of
outdoor recreational activities including boating, fishing, biking, and hiking.
For a night out, the choices in Madison are endless. This bustling college town provides
a wealth of options—quaint Irish pubs, billiards, comedy clubs, dancing, trendy bars,
and more. Wander down State Street for a unique shopping experience. Lined with
more than 200 shops and specialty stores, State Street is a shopper’s paradise.
Where to Go
For quick, local eats, check out State Street Brats, home of authentic Wisconsin brats,
cheese curds, and buffalo wings, or swing by the Great Dane Pub and Brew Company
for dinner and drinks. On the sports front, catch a Madison Mallards baseball game
and cheer on the local collegiate minor league team.

University Life
The University of Wisconsin, Madison, features state-of-the-art
facilities, offering Institute participants a complete executive
education experience. Classes and breaks are held in Grainger
Hall, located just blocks from the Fluno Center. Meals are
served at the Gordon Commons, two blocks from Grainger
