Warrington Business Park Gets a Facelift The North West 2020 Annual Survey

Before

Warrington Business Park, based in Warrington is getting a facelift. As part of the owners’ long-term redevelopment of the original site, Warrington Training Trust, who purchased the former Beaumont Technical School on Long Lane Warrington in 1989, have commenced 2 major projects to both increase accommodation footage available and improve the office space available.

In September 2019 we commenced the redevelopment of 3500 square foot of industrial space into offices and storage for an existing tenant. Not only will this enable the tenant to expand into a more suitable environment, having outgrown his current offices, it will enable his business to grow and develop for the next 5 – 10 years secure in the knowledge he has the room and facilities he needs to expand.

In October we started the replacement of over 450 windows on the site. The former school opened in 1991 as a Training Centre and Business Generation Centre. Over the years we have seen many changes to the fabric of the building, and with the closure of the training centre in 2003, we have redeveloped and dedicated the whole 55,000 square foot site into offices for start-up and developing companies in the Warrington Area.

The £260K+ contract for the supply and fitment of the windows, (ranging in size from 650 mm x 1000mm up to 4200mm x 2200mm) was won by D&M Windows Ltd of Oldham, and the work is expected to be completed by the end of April. Whilst this has meant a bit of upheaval for some tenants on the days that we were replacing their office windows, I am pleased to say we have managed to keep everybody happy, and I thank the tenants for their understanding.
