Major new business location in Barrow

Barrow Borough Council are leading on the development of a major new managed business space (16,000 sq ft) within the Waterfront Business Park, Barrow Island.

Designed by Kendal-based Mellor Architects, the space will be targeted at existing small to medium companies looking to relocate to larger premises, in a move that will address a shortage of business space in the town.

The scheme is funded 40% by Barrow Borough Council, with the remainder met by the European Regional Development Fund.

The work is being carried out by Thomas Armstrong (Construction) Ltd and the scheme is expected to be completed in January 2020.
