Transforming our economy, we are working with private and public sector partners to deliver £250m of investment in new projects, sites and infrastructure.


This includes a number of locations benefitting from Ayrshire Growth Deal funding, such as i3 - Irvine’s Enterprise Area, Hunterston Port and Resource Centre, The Great Harbour, and Ardrossan Waterfront.


We’re investing £25million to develop i3, our renowned Enterprise Area, as Scotland’s centre of excellence for advanced manufacturing and engineering. We’re leading the way in Industry 4.0 and creating a digital lab that will position our businesses at the forefront of advanced manufacturing and digital automation.


And we’re also delivering 14,000 square metres of flexible business space, consolidating our reputation as the right place for your business to locate and grow. Our plans are moving on all the time – get in touch to find out how you can be involved.


North Ayrshire is home to Hunterston, a strategically important site for Scotland. £30m of public investment has been committed to

unlock Hunterston’s potential as a major player in the nation’s Blue and Low Carbon economies, ensuring we play a key role in new energy production, and supporting emerging specialisms in energy intensive industries.


The Great Harbour is a £100m partnership investment programme that will create major new waterside destinations that will attract an additional one million visitors a year.


We’re getting ready to deliver exciting projects in the residential, commercial, leisure and hotel sectors, transforming our visitor and tourism economies.


Already the busiest passenger port in Scotland, with around a million people passing through it each year en route to Arran and the Scottish islands, Ardrossan is set to flourish. £125 million of partnership investment will transform the waterfront area over the next five years. Autumn 2020 sees the beginning of a major new development programme at Ardrossan, opening up opportunities in hotel, residential and leisure sectors. Speak to our team to find out more.
