Trevor Dawson celebrate 30 years in business! The North West 2020 Annual Survey


Trevor Dawson formed the business in 1989 and was joined one year later by his eldest daughter, Caroline James who had previously worked for Amec in Manchester. Peter Conroy joined the partnership in 1994 and specialized in Valuation and Professional services.


The Burnley office followed again in 1994, headed up by Partner Michael Cavannagh.


Jason Rawson joined the Blackburn office three years later. In 2011 they opened their third office in Bolton to complete the triangle of coverage. In 2018 Ian Whiteside joined to head up the Building Surveying Department. In 2019 the Blackburn office moved to Capricorn Park.

Trevor Dawson, Commercial Property Consultants, celebrated 30 years in business at the end of 2019 with an event for clients and friends The gathering was to thank clients for their loyal support over the years and raise a glass to the next 30. This was the culmination of a year of events, a highlight of which was the Trevor Dawson Charity Golf Day held at Clitheroe Golf Club in June, which raised £6,000 for the Blackburn Youth Zone. The Charity Golf Day will return in 2020.


Trevor Dawson has been at the forefront of commercial property across East Lancashire, with significant headline instructions including Frontier Park, Burnley Bridge, and the landmark One Cathedral Square, Blackburn.


The region has transformed itself since 1989 and continues to do so. The importance of infrastructure can never be underestimated and the M65 is a great example of this. We are proud to have played a part in the success of both in and out of town developments which continue to impress investors from the wider area. Northcote provided the perfect setting to thank everyone for their loyalty and friendship which is greatly appreciated.


Barnfield Submit Planning on New £11 Million Advance Point Business Park


Barnfield Construction, Nelson based contractor, developer & investor behind 40 million sqft of industrial space across the North West, are delighted to announce the submission of its latest scheme – Advance Point on Rossendale Road, Burnley.


Consisting of two phases over 11 acres, phase 1 will comprise of 36 industrial units starting in size from 2100 sqft/200 sqm and offer larger units for both sale and rental. Phase 2 proposals will be also be considered during 2020.


Speaking of the scheme- Tim Webber MBE, Barnfield’s Managing Director said - “We are hugely excited to be bringing forward these proposals. Michael Cavannagh, Director at Trevor Dawson commented: “There have been a lack of speculative development along the M65 in recent years however the market has moved on and there is pent up demand for schemes such as Advance Point which will be a great asset to the market.

It is hoped construction of phase 1 will begin later this year.
