to devices and MediaCentral, we've revolutionised access to our media – our users will be able to access our content in more places, using more tools than ever before.”
One beneficiary here is Adobe, with Premiere making inroads into the live space.
“We've had Premiere deployed across the business for some time, mainly among our digital teams,” says Roberts. “Now, even though we've installed the new Avid system, we've also got Premiere working directly with it, so that the teams that use Premiere can access that core news content quickly and don't have to jump between systems.”

ITV/ITVX NEWS: FLEXIBLE FUNCTIONALITY
“Our Intelligent
Overlays enable news clients to gain deeper engagement with their audience using interactivity with polls and voting for example.” Mike Ward, Head of Marketing at Singular
Within the atrium area of its headquarters in London’s Gray’s Inn Road, ITN has created a secondary newsroom for ITV news that doubles up for the new streaming channel, ITVX. The studio features a dual video wall setup. “One is double-sided, so it faces out into the atrium as much as back into the newsroom,” says ITN’s Jon Roberts. “We wanted some wow factor for the newsroom itself, as you entered the atrium, whilst also giving us a flexible production space. “We can slide that [Atrium] wall left and right, we can slide them apart. We can have a 16x9 wall on the newsroom side which can slide up and down. We could use it for video podcast strands, or big standalone explainers on ITVX. Or we can push both screens together and show content that is familiar to anybody who sees our main ITV set.”
