EXECUTIVE HIRE SHOW PREVIEW continued
STAND J30
Mecalac dumpers sport innovative canopy
Mecalac states that, according to
statistics from the STAND G20 Health and Safety Executive,
construction vehicles are responsible for more than 250 serious injuries every week in the UK. At the Show, it will launch a range of site dumpers with its new MDX Canopy, which aims to bridge the gap between ROPS and cabbed models.
Based on Mecalac’s MDX cabbed dumper, the MDX Canopy
removes the rear and sides of the cab to leave the windscreen and roof as an open air canopy. It combines protection in the event of a rollover, with excellent visibility. Available initially in six and nine-tonne payload versions, each model is designed to minimise noise and vibration. High-visibility access steps are fitted for safe entry and exit for
operators, while flashing green seatbelt beacons, LED work lights and protected tail lights mean the machines are both visible on site and suitable for both day and night operation.
Cascade lights up with Stanley
Cascade Holdings is a specialist lighting, manufacturer and distributor. It has been working with Stanley Black & Decker for a number of years to design and produce the Stanley branded range of site lighting, which is now being introduced to the hire market in the UK. The line-up comprises
easy-to-use, hand-held rechargeable work lights, multi-functional area lighting and 110V professional site lighting providing more than 10,000 lumens.
STAND K46 Simpler Dustcontrol solutions
Dustcontrol UK will promote the new DC Tromb 400 dust extractor, DCF Tromb pre-separator, and the combined DC TrombTwin dust extractor and pre-separator. One of the major updates is that the new DC TrombTwin is
separable, meaning the dust extractor and pre-separator are easily detached and re-assembled to make transport simple. Other updates to the new range include a simpler filter change
system and a motor package that is easier to remove. Improved motors and sturdier chassis have also been incorporated.
STAND K60 STAND K36 GreenMech with extra bite
GreenMech will showcase its new EVO 165 wood chipper series. The road-tow, diesel version will be on the stand, and petrol or tracked options are also available.
The EVO has been developed to meet industry demands for a
machine that delivers aggressive torque, more powerful bite and greater throughput. It has twin horizontal hydraulic rollers and a large in-feed chute to facilitate the intake of large quantities of brash and branches, reducing snagging and increasing productivity. A heavy-duty flywheel is incorporated to provide greater
processing power, while a one-piece fabricated chassis increases durability. Ease of maintenance has also been improved thanks to more accessible vertical and horizontal shear bars and a new centralised greasing point.
61 Sumner’s lifting solutions
In addition to the long-established 2000 and 2100 series lifts (pictured), Sumner Manufacturing will
promote its range of compact lifts designed for lightweight
applications, or where space is at a premium. The company recently added a
‘short stack’ material lift complete with optional foot jack and top mast covers to prevent rubble and debris from becoming trapped between the masts. A 500kg material lift, and a counterweight lift
with a boom accessory suitable for use with glass lifting systems, are also available.
