EXECUTIVE HIRE SHOW PREVIEW continued
STAND G30
Compaction additions from Altrad Belle
Altrad Belle will launch a new heavy-duty range of low-HAV RPX 59 reversible plate compactors. The company says that these latest
additions to its compaction equipment portfolio have an improved baseplate design for traction on gradients and increased travel speeds, with a higher compaction force for shorter usage times and deeper compaction. Available
as either a diesel electric start or petrol model, extension plates
can be fitted quickly to increase the baseplate width to either 650mm or 750mm for versatility. An hour meter is fitted as standard. Altrad Belle will also promote its DX1000 HT 1-tonne high-tip
dumper, pictured, designed for safety, strength, operator comfort and convenience in conjunction with site productivity. It incorporates a full 4- wheel hydraulic drive system for maximum traction on poor terrain, and offers a tight turning circle for manoeuvrability on restricted work sites.
George Taylor to launch pallet truck range
STAND K20
George Taylor Lifting Gear will exhibit a new range of slab test weights, available in 250kg, 500kg and 1000kg capacities. The company will also launch a line-up of electric pallet trucks (pictured), along with Green Pin Tycan chain from Van Beest which is now available in smaller and larger capacities for both lifting and lashing applications. Other products available include Kito chain products,
Cartec grade 6 stainless steel chain and fittings, Cartec swivel lifting points, Kratos work at height safety equipment and Tecpos hydraulic items. The company currently holds £3m of stock in various locations for rapid support.
GroundGuards lightens the load STAND K34
GroundGuards supplies lightweight temporary plastic ground protection systems that are designed for use as roadways, car parks, walkways, event flooring, site compounds, grass reinforcement and wheelchair access over any surface, no matter how soft or firm. Products can be installed by hand without the need for
expensive lifting equipment, and are available to accommodate loads from 5 to 150 tonnes. One of the company’s most popular systems is the MaxiTrack.
Whereas typical temporary ground protection systems are often made from steel or aluminium, the MaxiTrack is made from recycled polymer called Zetralene which is stronger than standard high-density polyethylene (HDPE). It is guaranteed not to break under vehicle loads of up to 130 tonnes, yet the individual mats weigh only 40kg and two people can handle them.
On test with Seaward
Seaward has been designing and manufacturing 110V and 240V equipment safety testers for the hire industry for more than three decades. Analogue and digital models are available, offered with options ranging from probes, leads and adaptors to fault simulators and printers. The analogue B255 power tool and
STAND A80
appliance safety tester is a popular model, designed to combine simplicity and robustness with a range of measuring functions. The SafeCheck 8 automatic safety tester has a simple interface to guide users through Class I, Class II and ICE extension power cord tests, with automated test sequences.
