GAP ADDS NEW DIVISION


GAP Group is continuing to expand by establishing Trenching & Shoring as a new specialist division. This activity was previously a sub-division within the company’s now


10-year-old Non-Mechanical division. However, in April 2018, GAP purchased MV Trench Support, a Scottish-based trenching and shoring company, which has extended its product fleet and brought additional knowledge and experience in this sector. Trenching & Shoring becomes GAP’s ninth specialist division, joining


Plant, Tools, Non-Mech, Lifting & TIC, Survey & Safety, Welfare, Events and Vehicle Hire. On top of this, GAP is the sole distributor of EZE Shoring equipment in the


UK, which is designed to be simple, safe and easy to use. The products are made up of only five different components without pins, clips, slings, pumps or hydraulics.


DPF information from BISAF


BISAF Ltd, which offers diesel particulate filter (DPF) solutions to the construction and hire industries, has launching a new technical website. It aims to explain the options available to both maintain compliance within Clean Air Zone regulations and to promote good practice in dealing with the health issues relating to diesel particulates. The company is the UK agent for Johnson

Arnold Plant goes electric with JCB


Stockport-based Arnold Plant Hire has added a JCB 19C-1E electric mini excavator to its fleet. The machine has already been used on local council cemetery projects because of its quiet operation and zero emissions at point of use. Arnold Plant MD, Philip Oldham, said, “We are


committed to investing in and supporting new technology within our industry. The government has its own targets for zero emissions, so we want to play our part by offering products that help to achieve these goals.” Thirty years ago, Arnold Plant became the first hirer to

Trime completes acquisition


Italian lighting tower manufacturer, Trime, has announced the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of DOA Srl. DOA is based in Milan and serves the


power generation machinery and hydraulic tools markets. Trim states that the acquisition is part of its strategic plan for development whilst pursuing similar opportunities to acquire like-minded companies with complementary product portfolios. Andrea Fontanella, President of Trime, who leads the company together with


CEO Paolo Tacconi said, "We are delighted to welcome DOA to the Trime Group. This acquisition represents a fundamental step in our strategy to grow international markets.”
