Fleet information from Husqvarna Construction

Husqvarna Construction Products says that Health & Safety will be a key focus on

its stand. It will highlight areas such

as low vibration levels on its disc cutters and plate compactors, characteristics of its diamond blades to ensure correct use, and solutions for handling dust and slurry more efficiently.

JCB to launch fast-charge option Like its Forest & Garden equipment division,

mentioned elsewhere in our Show Preview, Husqvarna’s Construction Products division will introduce Husqvarna Fleet Services, which collects and presents data regarding any machine fleet, including inventory, location, runtime and service planning. Two new drill motors will also be launched, namely

the DM 400 and DM 430, covering drilling diameters of 55mm to 450mm. They can connect to an enhanced version of Husqvarna Fleet Services for greater functionality and user information.

JCB will show a new fast-charge version of its 19C-1E electric mini excavator. The company says that the machine can deliver a typical full day’s shift on a single charge, which takes just two hours with the quick-charge option. Five times quieter than its diesel counterpart, the model is ideal for emissions and noise-sensitive applications. The 19C-1E can be fitted with

three or four lithium-ion battery packs, providing a 15kW-20kWh storage capacity, and it has a load-sensing hydraulic system for powerful digging performance. An on-board charger with capability for both 110V (12-hour recharge) and 230V (8-hour charge) comes as standard. The 19C-1E will be joined by the larger 86C-2 midi excavator which has been designed to meet the EU Stage V emissions regulations.

56 Wide format from Thwaites

Hirers visiting the Show will be the first to see Thwaites’ new ‘wide track’ design on its 1-tonne and 1.5-tonne compact dumpers. This is aimed at giving operators even greater control, ensuring the wider front and rear axles provide additional stability. The manufacturer states that operator safety, reducing risk and

improving performance are the three key factors that have driven further product enhancements to the 2020 Thwaites dumper range. Further innovation

has been introduced to the 6-tonne and 9-tonne models, with a spring-activated hydraulic release handbrake that is designed to automatically engage if the engine stops. In the event of an emergency stop, proportional braking will bring the machine to a smooth standstill. In addition, Stage V compliant engines are now fitted to all 6-tonne and 9-tonne machines.
