Focus on DTG Printing

Resolute DTG Two new DTG printers join line-up

This spring has seen Resolute DTG add two new direct to garment printers to its growing line-up; the R-Jet Pro and the Ricoh Ri 2000. The R-Jet Pro is a no frills custom built DTG printer that utilises dual print head technology.

It has all the latest technology including offset dual print heads allowing for fast single pass printing. Resolute has left the fancy bits it doesn’t need in the factory keeping the build cost down. The R-Jet Pro benefi ts from a push button horse-shoe platen system with optical height limit switch including three sizes of interchangeable platens. Driven by Resolute RIP and running on Resolute Premium Inks, the R-Jet Pro is a powerful combination. Its wet cap stand by system is designed to be walk up ready without using ink while the printer is left in standby mode, this is a unique feature made possible by the properties of Resolute Premium Inks combined with Resolute’s tried and tested iWICS (intelligent white ink control system). Its industrial sized bulk ink system holds a full 1L of each colour including white. The iWICS system circulates the white ink through the printer and back into an automatically agitating storage tank. The R-Jet Pro looks after itself when not in use with nothing to shake and without using ink.

The Ricoh Ri 2000

The Ri 2000 is designed to make professional, high-quality printing faster and easier for personalised garments and other fabrics.

Producing high quality output in all formats and designs including light and dark garments without limitations on half tones, detailed designs and also photographs, the Ri 2000 is both a speedy and reliable solution.

The Ri 2000 has Ricoh’s own inkjet print heads, with an automatic head cleaning feature which increases reliability for production of high-volume orders. The automated maintenance sequences save operators time and make the device easier to use and maintain – features include temperature and humidity sensors, active ink level monitoring, white ink circulation and many more.

For ease of use and added convenience, the Ri 2000 model has an automatic table height adjustment, as well as the touch screen operating panel with smart maintenance alerts. Following a digital workfl ow, promotional and personalised designs can be previewed at the printer and progress monitored in real time using the viewing window. Resolute has gone one step further with the Ri 2000 by driving it from the company’s own Resolute RIP PRO. This offers greater production, control and numerous integration capabilities for e-commerce websites. With options like camera assist for printing shoes and other items the Ri 2000 is a breeze to use under the Resolute cap.
