Focus on DTG Printing

Today, direct to garment printing takes on many forms; from desktop-sized printers, to industrial-sized units that are on a par with screen printing carousels. Take a look at our overview of the latest printers available in the market.

Roland DG DTG printing is now a popular option for many businesses

Healthy demand for personalised products over the past year has made DTG printing a popular option for both commercial and industrial garment businesses, and print professionals transitioning from traditional screen printers to digital equipment. DTG offers a faster, more cost-effective method of on-demand production, which avoids the accumulation of redundant stock.

Texart XT-640S-DTG

To support businesses branching into the DTG market, who need reliable and easy-to-use equipment to be able to respond quickly to the demands of jobs with a higher level of customisation and shorter print runs, Roland DG has continued to enhance its DTG offerings. Last year, Roland launched the Texart XT-640S-DTG as part of its textile printing range. The machine allows print professionals to print durable, vibrant, full-colour designs, photos, logos and text directly onto a wide range of cotton, cotton-rich and white polyester textiles for fashion and home décor applications. Its unique sliding baseplate and jig design allows different sizes of garments to be combined for maximum versatility, printing up to 12 garments at once.

The primers and inks for the Texart XT-640S-DTG printer are also ECO PASSPORT by Oeko-Tex certifi ed. Inks and primers are only awarded the certifi cation after a series of rigorous tests, which dissect if each individual ingredient in the chemical product meets strict conditions. These inks and primers are a priority for many of Roland’s customers since governments, brands and consumers are increasingly demanding a higher standard of eco-friendly textile products.

This DTG printer can print up to 12 garments at once

The XT-640S-DTG not only solves a range of problems for textile print professionals, from volume production to versatility of applications to print professionals, but it can also be relied upon long-term. Roland’s customers can reply upon the machine’s fi rst-rate quality, reliability and superior output, and receive support and training through direct contact with Roland DG experts and the Roland DG Academy.
