Well, with Carowinds boasting 13 roller coasters, including two of the 10 tallest in the world, how could I say no? There was just one challenge I had to recognize – my presentation would be the barrier between the students and those incredible rides. I understood the assignment. It is North America’s longest steel coaster, traveling over 1.25 miles for 3.25 minutes, even crossing both the North and South Carolina state lines during its run– something Marc shared as we rode. I was screaming as we flew along; luckily he repeated the fact once we pulled into the station. On roller coasters, my seat of choice is always in the front row. I love the moment the car hovers at the first hill before flying into the smooth ballet of speed, inclines and descents. Fury did not disappoint. After that incredible ride, I ate fried Oreos, posted for the “required”
